Sylvain Boudrias, p.eng., MBA
President
Sylvain leads the Backflo Shop team. He is a graduate from Concordia University with an engineering degree. Since 1987, he worked as an engineer for several large international Canadian companies.
Mr. Boudrias is an expert designer of cross connection systems used in residential and industrial structures to protect the interior potable water supply from outside contamination. He is regularly called upon by a wide variety of industries, municipalities, government agencies and residential developers to educate and train managers, technicians and other stakeholders in safe drinking water management.
An AWWA certified trainer, Mr. Boudrias has trained hundreds of backflow prevention device testers throughout Quebec. From 2009 to 2015, he served as Certifying Officer and technical consultant for the Quebec Chapter of the AWWA where he helped to develop the Association’s backflow prevention device certification program, administered by Réseau Environnement. He has also served on several AWWA committees, particularly the Quebec Committee on Cross-connection Control and the Canadian Coordinating Committee for Cross-connection Control. He is the 2014-15 winner of the AWWA’s George Warren Fuller Prize and a member of the following professional organizations:

Tania Soucy-Lagrange
TECHNICAL ADVISOR
Tania brought more than 15 years of customer service and administrative experience when she joined Backflo Shop as Technical Advisor. She works in backflow preventing field since 2013. Her diverse background has honed her administrative skills and made her a polished people person, treasured for her warmth and resourcefulness.
As Technical Advisor, Tania uses her vast knowledge of backflow prevention devices and differential pressure gauges to help Backflo Shop clients solve a myriad of complex technical questions. A dependable team player she steps up to the plate to meet the new and interesting challenges that confront the firm on a daily basis.
jeremy belhumeur
TECHNICIAN & BACKFLOW PREVENTER DEVICE TESTER
Jeremy holds an AWWA certification as a backflow preventer tester, for which he completed 40 hours of training. To date, Mr. Belhumeur has performed several hundred backflow preventer certifications for a multitude of major clients.
As a technician for Backflo Shop, Jeremy is also a master in the art of calibrating, maintaining, and repairing differential pressure gauges. He strives to ensure your equipment is compliant and accurate so it can be returned to you in excellent working order!
CHANTAL BERGEVIN
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Chantal Bergevin has 19 years of experience in customer service in various fields and perfected herself with secretarial training in 2021. Chantal joined Darspec in early 2023.
She is a joyful, cheerful person with a great ability to adapt in our constantly evolving company.
As an administrative assistant, Chantal will draw on her service and support experiences to daily assist team members and will gradually bring her contribution to the expansion of Backflo Shop.
